Wærenskjold beffa tutti a Nevers al termine di una volata atipica

Si chiude con un’insolita volata l’undicesima tappa del Tour de France 2026. Le squadre dei velocisti lavorano per tutta la tappa ma nel momento più importante i loro treni si sciolgono. A Nevers è quindi Søren Wærenskjold a lanciare lo sprint, continuando la sua percussione indisturbato fino al traguardo. Per il norvegese è la diciannovesima vittoria in carriera, al termine di una delle volate più atipiche di questa Grande Boucle.

I big si muovono troppo in ritardo e non riescono nel finale a chiudere il gap con il portacolori della Uno-X Mobility, ieri ultimo al traguardo dopo una caduta. Seconda posizione per Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) a cui non riesce la seconda vittoria dopo quella nella quinta tappa. Terza posizione per Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin Premier-Tech), ancora a secco in questo Tour.

Quindi quarta piazza per il belga Milan Fretin (Cofidis), completa la top 5 l’olandese Huub Artz (Lotto Intermarché). È invece addirittura quindicesimo al traguardo Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step), oggi nettamente fuori dai giochi per il successo. Primo tra gli italiani Stefano Oldani (Caja Rural Seguors RGA) in quattordicesima posizione.
